Assaluyeh port (port code: IRASA) is a medium-sized port in Iran. Situated on the south coast in the Persian Gulf, 300 kilometers east of Bushehr and approximately 100 kilometers from the South Pars gas field, it plays a significant part in the production of natural gas from the Southern Pars and Homa gas fields with the 4th Aromatics Plant, the largest aromatics project in the world.
The gas terminal exports South Pars condensate via an SBM and has two berths for LPG and ammonia. Each year it handles approximately 11,370,000t of cargo. The types of vessels regularly calling at the port are cargo vessels, accounting for 18%; and container ships, taking up 11%. With a maximum draught of 11.3 meters and a maximum deadweight of 99148t being allowed, the maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 295 meters.
