Port of San Antonio Oeste (port code: AROES) is a medium-sized port on the Gulf of San Matías, in the Río Negro Province of Argentina.
At the beginning of the thirties, this natural port became very important for Patagonia and specially the then Río Negro Territory, but gradually lost importance due to the arrival of the railway from Buenos Aires to Bariloche and San Antonio as an intermediate station. The types of vessels regularly calling at the port are fishing vessels, accounting for 50% and trawler, accounting for 37%. With a maximum draught of 7 meters and a maximum deadweight of 23,210t, the maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 171 meters.
In 1944, the port ceased its activities. Presently, it operates with a minimal fishing activity.
