Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Check the navigation bar on the top, find Tools - Sea Ports and open the page, or access it directly through https://www.seabaycargo.com/seaport/

Step 2: In our Sea Ports page, you would find a search bar. Here you can search sea ports by city name, country name, port name, or simply select from a list we have curated for you.

For example, if we search “Shenzhen”, here is part of the search results:

The list will show you all the sea ports in Shenzhen with some basic information.

Take the second one, Yantian, as an example. Information such as port name: Yantian, port code: CNYTN, which city it falls under: Shenzhen. If it is not just a seaport, but also a city (like Shenzhen), it will be called "City Port" under “Category”.

We also have three tags to classify different ports: main port, feeder port and dry port.

Main ports are port with big capacity of cargo handling, acting as hubs or gateways for goods transportation in its area. In most case, main ports are included on liner's freight tariffs and have regular container liners(mother vessels) to berth at. They are the most important sea ports in international trade.

Feeder ports are ports for feeder vessels to collect shipping containers from and transport to central container terminals or transshipment hubs (main ports), where containers are loaded to mother vessels for further transport.

Dry ports are inland intermodal terminals directly connected by road or rail to a seaport, operating as centres for the transshipment of sea cargo to inland destinations.
