Part Cargo

Part Cargo is a cargo delivered on a vessel such that the volume of the cargo does not substantially fill the vessel. Part Cargo means a quantity of condensate nominated by the shipper to be loaded on a vessel together with other part cargoes nominated by the shipper or by another shipper.

What is Part Cargo?

Part Cargo means that only part of the vessel is booked. Or to put it in another way, the volume of the cargo does not substantially fill the vessel.

Considering safety and cost, shipping companies has developed various methods to handle the carriage of the cargo. When the products are of small tonnage, the part cargo system can offer an economical way to deliver the shipments. Transport companies no longer need to rent a large vessel.

The part cargo system refers to a system developed to transport the cargo from different companies with a single-vehicle. It includes more than one company or individual shipments in an entire vessel. So transport companies can share the cost with the part cargo system.

Besides, the part cargo system is valid for all the transportation methods such as transporting by land, sea or air.
