Dock (noun)

A dock is a structure built along, or at an angle from, a navigable waterway so that vessels may lie alongside to receive or discharge cargo. Sometimes, the whole wharf is informally called a dock.

What is Dock (noun)?

For Ships: A dock is a cargo handling area parallel to the shoreline. For land transportation: A dock means a pier or wharf used as a loading or unloading platform at an industrial site or carrier terminal.
