Tingwall Airport is the one most used for inter-island flights within Shetland. It is located in the Tingwall valley, near the village of Gott, 4 nautical miles (7.4 kilometers; 4.6 miles) northwest of Lerwick in Mainland. Scatsta Airport was the sixth largest airport in Scotland, ranked by international passengers (2018). It is located 17 nautical miles (31 kilometers; 20 miles) north of Lerwick and 5 miles (8 kilometers) southwest of Sullom Voe Terminal.
Shetland Islands is a subarctic archipelago in the Northern Atlantic, between Great Britain, the Faroe Islands and Norway. Located 80 kilometers (50 miles) to the northeast of Orkney, 170 kilometers (110 miles) from mainland Scotland and 220 kilometers (140 miles) west of Norway, it is the northernmost part of the United Kingdom and covers a total area of 1,466 square kilometers (566 square miles).
