Ramstein Air Base Airport (IATA Code:RMS, ICAO Code: ETAR) is a United States Air Force base in Rhineland-Palatinate, a state in southwestern Germany. It serves as headquarters for the United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) and also for NATO Allied Air Command (AIRCOM). It is probably the largest U.S. military installation in the world and is expanding. Ramstein passenger terminal is operated by the U.S. Air Force’s Air Mobility Command. Use of this terminal is open to Department of Defense personnel only, mainly military personnel, DoD civilians and their authorized family members only. Military retirees also have access to this terminal for travel on military flights.
