Khanty-Mansiysk Airport (IATA code: HMA, ICAO code: USHH), also listed as Khantymansiysk Airport, is an international airport in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia. Located 5 kilometers northeast of Khanty-Mansiysk, it services medium-size airliners.
The airport has undergone several expansions. Since 2001, a new airport complex with an original architectural appearance has been operating, with a capacity of 300 passengers per hour (with the international sector), equipped with modern technical means. In December 2008, the reconstruction of the airport began, including at the first stage the expansion of the passenger apron and the construction of a heliport.
The high level of development of the oil and gas industry, transport, constantly expanding sports and cultural ties, the growth of the population and its income in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, instill confidence that the international airport will continue to dynamically develop to meet the needs for air transportation of the population of Yugorsk land.
