Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (IATA code: BLQ, ICAO code: LIPE) is an international airport serving the city of Bologna in Italy. It is approximately 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) northwest of the city centre in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.
There is one terminal in the airport, which underwent an expansion during 2011–2013. It now covers a total surface of 36,100 square meters, of which 5,500 square meters are shopping areas. A new baggage handling system was installed and there are now 24 departure gates.
After the expansion, the number of passengers handled by this airport had been increasing year by year. In 2018, the airport processed 8,506,658 passengers and 52,681 tonnes of cargo with 71,503 aircraft movements.
